Mathematics

At Mylor Primary School this year, we have implemented a new Mathematics across the school. The Program is called Bond Blocks. This program is a mental math program that builds automaticity or fluency with addition and subtraction facts to twenty. It is a highly interactive, hands-on-learning tool aligned with Australian Curriculum outcomes.  It is informed by research using evidence-based methodology, developed by Australian teacher Narelle Rice together with Dr Paul Swan.​ It is taught in whole class in the Bandicoot Unit and small groups in the Dingo Unit.
